“Dangerously good! Thought I would check this out due to its stylish label and I’m glad I did. Myself and a friend got through the whole bottle in one night and two ice cubes was perfect to my taste. Will buy again.”

Tasting Notes

Freshly roasted caramel latte, accompanied by a velvety raisin and walnut cake, with a hint of cinnamon.

Distillery

The Craigellachie distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Aberlour, Banffshire. It was built in 1891 and is at the centre of the Speyside whisky producing area of Scotland.

The name Craigellachie means ‘rocky hill’ and refers to the cliff that overlooks the Spey across from The Macallan distillery.

Cask Type

Whisky matured in sherry butts is something quite special. The wood that once held sherry adds to both the flavour and the aroma of the whisky maturing in the cask. Usually crafted from European or American oak and hold around 500 litres.
